Newborn Sweater

*A STITCHES OF LOVE DESIGN* Materials: Sport Weight or Baby Weight Yarn SIZE 4 KNITTING NEEDLES Open-front sweater with both sides of front being worked together. Back: With Size 4 needles cast on 29 stitches FOR EACH SIDE OF FRONT.
FRONT	Both sides of the front can be knitted at the same time, using two separate skeins of yarn
	Cast on 29 stitches. Cast on second set of 29 from second skein.
Rows 1-6	Knit each row for 6 rows
Rows 7	Knit 1, with yarn in front, yarn over and knit two together, as you would to form a button hole. Repeat pattern to end of row remembering on second side to keep first 4 stitches in knit pattern. It helps to use a stitch marker on each piece.
Row 8	Purl
Rows 8 thru 20	Repeat rows 7 and 8 six times.
Rows 37 thru 42	Knit each row.
Rows 43 thru 52	Repeat rows 7 and 8 while keeping center 4 on each side in knit pattern for both sides until piece measures 7 inches.
Cast On For Sleeves	Cast on 18 stitches at beginning of first piece for sleeves.
	Knit second piece, turn and cast on 18 stitches on purl row.
